Every layout has a route worth 100/100 before hint deductions. Choose the easier colour and a simple pattern. Each layout can be cleared without moving other balls out of the way. Developing balls adds risk and is not part of the colour clearance at these levels. If no supported direct pot remains at any pace, your visit ends and your score is recorded.
Choose Easy or Intermediate first. Compare the layout, then choose Reds or Yellows. The selectors move beside the table when you begin playing. Tap a numbered ball and its pocket. Tap the highlighted white to play. Soft, normal and firm controls set the pace.
Easy shows guides and an estimated landing point. Intermediate hides guides. Level and colour cannot change after the first shot. Next table moves to a new layout; there is no replay. Both colours have a checked direct clearance using soft, normal or firm pace.
Shots cannot be undone. Practice uses every table version before repeats, and consecutive practice tables come from different base layouts. Progress is remembered in this browser. The daily challenge gives everyone the same dated table at each level, with one scored attempt per level. An unfinished daily attempt resumes where you left it; finished attempts are review-only. Daily challenges reset at midnight UK time and run separately from practice rotation. Easy and Intermediate scores should be compared separately. Hint follows the checked route while you stay on it. If you change route, it searches for a complete remaining clearance through to the black. If the bounded search cannot verify one, it says so without ending your visit or suggesting an unchecked pot. A verified hint is not a guarantee of a maximum score.
If no playable shot remains at any pace, the visit ends automatically and leaves the final table visible. Tap a remaining ball and pocket to review why that pot is unavailable. View score opens the final result; Back to table returns to the same position. Scores award up to 10 for balls potted (1.25 each), 50 for clearing your seven balls and the black, 30 for pattern quality and 10 for colour choice. Pattern quality rewards consistently easy clearances. Its 30 points compare your route with a checked reference for your chosen colour: 30% for the overall route, 30% for its most demanding shot and 40% for its weakest next-shot position. Matching or improving the reference in all three measures earns all 30 pattern points. Next-shot position is judged using the pot you actually choose. Assessment considers total cue-ball travel to contact and after impact, natural stun routes and the space between the white’s route and other balls. Useful angles and cushions are judged by the position they produce rather than receiving an automatic penalty. Next-shot position also checks whether small short or long errors along the arrival line would still leave the next pot available. A narrow route is riskier than an open one. The reference is the safest complete route found by a bounded search; it is not a proven global optimum or an expert-approved route. Only an easier-colour reference earns 100 before hint deductions; a harder-colour reference loses the colour-choice points. Pattern and colour points scale with progress. Each committed shot helped by Hint deducts 2 points, counted once per shot. Hint-assisted results show the deduction.
The engine assumes stun at contact. Follow, screw, side spin, banks and safeties are not supported. Contact with another ball after potting the black is allowed; the white’s position after that contact is not simulated. Cannons during the colour clearance are not supported. Predicted positions and route comparisons are estimates.
